Czerwone Imperium

PGWAR, GDSSiD, CGW, PdGW

Lenin By The Lake | DE The area marked out Lenin Lenin By The Lake | DE

The area marked out Lenin was built for the association of German architectural followers. It was 1990 and consisted of about 100 beautiful villas. The building next to Lenin was the next spa healer. After 1945, it was the headquarters of the 2nd Guards Armored Army of the Soviet Army. I associated the place with a zym, square "in Legnica, although some of them will be very similar to those in Poland. Soviet troops liked to qualify the territories of German garrisons and then place their neighbors there. Lenin welcomes me for a good day. He used to be a source of information in military garrisons. Now it is only the former Jewish inhabitants, it is slowly regaining its dawn, splendor and healthy nature.
There used to be 30,000 soldiers at this place.

"By 1993, all troops were withdrawn. Many felt it, felt grief. Many profited from trade: buyers, slaughterhouses, construction companies. After the disappearance of the army, there is no way out. and lost on the slope.

Besides the fact that you could visit the act after the performances that existed nearby. I knew the wizard Lenin, who he found on the spot, moved it and left it in a small grove, next to the advertisement on the apartments of the barracks installations. In the middle of the forest and in new areas, the state of auxiliary buildings is not the best. The mosaic uncovered on the facade of one of the little ones to pay.

Locomotive Repair Workshop | DE The workshops wer Locomotive Repair Workshop | DE

The workshops were established in the 19th century, initially as a branch of the German railway directorates. Over time, they were expanded to such an extent that they became the main factory for the production of steam locomotives.

The first phase of construction included a boiler room, a feeder workshop, a locomotive hall, a spare parts warehouse, a foundry, a wagon hall, a bathing plant, a canteen and an administration building.

After World War I, the plant was responsible for the modernization of a series of heavy standard locomotives for several decades. About 2,000 workers were working in the factory at that time. During the Second World War, engines for the war industry were also produced. World War II spared the factory from bombing and reparations. She was able to resume work in 1945.

After the war, the plant was recognized as a state-owned enterprise. After World War II, it gained importance for the Deutsche Reichsbahn. In the following years, the production volume grew steadily. The factory made a name for itself because it played a key role in the renaissance of steam locomotives in the GDR.

Until the end of the 1970s, the plant dealt mainly with the maintenance of locomotives. With the withdrawal of the locomotive as the main line locomotive, its profile gradually changed as well.

After the reunification of Germany in the 1990s, the factory survived. Since 1998, the steam locomotive plant has been repairing normal- and narrow-gauge locomotives for private railways, museum exhibits and railway associations in the country and abroad. Some of the production halls were turned off and sold to a private investor, and this is still the case today, where nature slowly takes control of it.

Railway Graveyard | Poland I have been planning Railway Graveyard | Poland

I have been planning to visit this place for a long time. Due to the distance, I never had to go there on the way. Fortunately, we managed to visit another place this year. Part of this station is still in use but there is a small area there which is a great place for retired locomotives. The place is unique, because you can take very interesting shots from the footbridge from above, so you can see rust on the roofs and the lush greenery surrounding the trains. The locomotives create the industrial atmosphere of this place and it is worth visiting this railway graveyard.

Hoist Towet | PL The hoist tower is now one of th Hoist Towet | PL

The hoist tower is now one of the most recognizable monuments in the city. It has a characteristic silhouette resembling a mining hammer. The tower is 57 m high and was built in 1928-29 in a modernist style. It was part of the Coal Mine, closed in 2001. In the upper part, there are historic remains of two electric hoisting machines from 1928-1933.

The place has its charm, but to get to the top you need nerves of steel and resistance to heights. The stairs leading to the top do not have railings or landings, which were probably stolen by scrap collectors. The general condition of the stairs also leaves something to be desired.

VEB Robotron | DE The company was once the large VEB Robotron | DE

The company was once the largest electronics producer in East Germany. The headquarters were in Dresden, and 69,000 people worked in its factories. It produced computers, SM EVM minicomputers, ESER computers, several computer peripherals, as well as home computers, radios, televisions and other devices, including cookie presses.

The beginnings of the company date back to 1923. At that time, it mainly produced radio receivers. After Germany was divided into two countries in 1948, the enterprise was nationalized. The offer was diversified by introducing measuring devices. In 1950-1965, the robotron factory developed the first completely self-developed computer in the GDR.

Before industry unification, this particular branch produced electronic counting machines "Elrema", which mainly dealt with the development of devices such as PRL computers, R100, R300. With the creation of the Robotron combine, the ELREMA company was dissolved and integrated with the large Robotron research center. were later used by Robotron office technology until the 1990s.

As a result of the social upheaval in the GDR, the company was closed in 1990, like many other state-owned enterprises, and its branches were transformed into corporations. In 1990, these companies were either sold to Siemens, or completely liquidated. The post-industrial areas are planned to be demolished.

 A little apart:

My friend and I visited the factory quite by accident. It was not in the travel plans. We wanted to capture some interesting "rot" with a beautiful story and we succeeded. Inside the factory, nature gradually takes control over the years, as you can see in the photos.

The World Cup Train | DE The history of this ten The World Cup Train | DE

The history of this tender train happened in 1954, when the German national team won a soccer world cup victory. The country was ruled by a borderless country. Germany became world football champions for the first time. It was then a representation that there was no ongoing cooperation. With the same positive result, the victory on July 4, 1954 with the great favorites, Hungary 3-2. It is said that almost the entire Federal Republic of Germany and the GDR cheered live on several televisions, and especially on the radio.

The Miracle of Bern ”also contributed to the rapid development of the Federal Republic of Germany after World War II. He breathed a great spirit of optimism, which meant the game to be an economic miracle.

The day after this tremendous success of the train, I picked up the national one from Bern and took it to Munich. At the railway station in Basel, Swiss railwaymen placed the words "Football World Cup 1954" on its wine-red lighting. This time is known as the "World Cup Train". or "Red Lightning"

Years have passed since then. The train has been forgotten and stands on a siding between the halls and carriages located in one of the repair and car parts in the apartment. It is slowly rusting. The windows are faded behind the green streaks. In the magnificent magnificent restaurant car, a millimeter layer of dust settled on the heavy wooden tables. Only black and white pictures of the band on the walls speak of better days. Bad comments are not for users for commercial sightseeing.

Experts estimate the cost of the restoration of the warehouse at the cost of the cost of the euro. For many years, lovers of its history have been collecting funds for renovation. Unfortunately, it goes very slowly and the line-up requires immediate renovation.

Distillery | Poland Not far from a small town, r Distillery | Poland

Not far from a small town, rich in history and rich in monuments, there is a Village. There is this distillery, which has a shape typical for that period, with a characteristic slender chimney.

Next to it, there is a weight booth (preserved) and the management. The equipment of the distillery is almost 100% preserved. Next to it, there is a farm which has been gnawed at by time. After World War II, it was nationalized and incorporated into the state-owned farm. Initially, the main raw material was potatoes, then rye and corn, although apples were also distilled. After the political changes, the plant fell into private hands. I have not been able to establish when exactly it was closed.
